Los Angeles (Part I)

Our view from the plane. Mountains!

Obviously excited.

We're in LA!

Our cab driver. He warned us about the Japanese.

Then he wanted a picture with Tori.

Some Breaking Bad shit.

The toilet was so graffited. Too bad you can't tell.

Wandering about the city.

Some Latina protest.

The trolley!

The MOCA!

Some Mexican dive where the drinks were strong.

These are all disposable camera pictures and pictures from Tori's phone from our first day.

We woke up at 4:30 AM and got ready to go to the airport. Tori's stepdad drove us and we got there around 6:15 AM. We checked in and waiting to board the flight. We ended up flying with a large soccer team and therefore we had to check in our bags because those assholes put their backpacks in the overhead compartments. We slept most of the way because we had been awake for so long, and basically went into the future. The plane ride was 3 hours and we left at 7:15 and arrive at 8:15 AM. We got our bags rather quickly and caught a cab to our hotel.

We didn't know but we actually were staying in Little Tokyo. Our hotel was really nice, but we couldn't check in until 3 and we were in the mood to get crazy, but unfortunately it was only 9 AM. So we dropped off our baggage and wandered around town. We didn't know but we went the wrong way and ended up going uptown where everyone was suited and stuck up.

We walked around and went into a few little shops and Grand Central Market. That place was insane and the pigeons were fearless. We had to go to Wells Fargo, and right next door was a place called Steak & Leaf, which is perfect as Tori loves steaks and I'm a vegetarian. The guy that worked there was really friendly and we got some sandwiches and chilled out a bit. Tori asked me to ask the guy where to go as he had been the only one being nice to us and there was an equality sticker on the door. He got a map and started marking it up and actually brought up Google Maps on his screen and showed us some shit. He then said he would walk us to Angel's Flight and show us how to ride the trolley.

Tori wasn't a fan of him as he may have been a fan of me. We rode the trolley, walked around some more and went to the MOCA. We got some lemonade at their mini restaurant and had tiny red velvet cupcakes.

The museum was awesome. We wandered around more, ran into some Vegans protesting a large animal testing facility, and then wound up at a sushi bar. We had some wine and left. We ended up at this little mexican bar called La Cita. It was dark with small red lanterns lighting up the ceiling. The atmosphere was cozy and the music was loud. Tori got a Vodka Sour and Tonio (which we learned was his name) said, "More Vodka than sour?" and that it was. Not to mention my margarita was all tequila with a squeeze of lime. We drank outside and met two fellows that gave us a rundown of where to go.

Inside some crazy lady asked us how to say "You look sexy" to the bartender in Spanish. We ended up talking to Michelle for a bit and she said she would walk us to our hotel and give us a small tour. She knew just about every other person on the way to her office. She worked for the DA and after some tight security, we got inside. She showed us her office, which she called in sick to that day.

We also stopped by the building where LA Confidential or some shit is filmed and met a real life detective who was awesome as hell. Then we ran into Michelle's boyfriend who was fucking insane looking, and walked to our hotel which didn't take long at all.

We checked in, showered, and ate at a restaurant called Fat Spoon across the street. We drank Japanese beer called Sopiro and talked to the waitresses. A lesbian walked in and told us the places to go.

We went home and passed out. We probably walked about 7 miles that day, so we didn't feel too lame.

Lately,

A typical work day.
I went shoe shopping with my sister and fell in love with some wedges I didn't get.

Making use of an old frame and my favorite instax.

On my actual birthday.

Some decorations my mom put up in my room!

A really bad lit picture with my friend Hillary from the night of my celebrations.

My beloved Dr. Martens.

My friend Lindsey and I.

Again!

Tori redid my ombre as my hair dresser cut off all my ends.

Getting froyo with my good friend that moved away to San Marcos.

Bubba telling my it's time for bed.

So, I have been shit at taking pictures/doing anything lately.

Here are a few instagrams since the last post. Not much exciting going on. I've been so tired, and I leave for LA next Thursday! I'm so excited. I can't wait.

I have just been working, and cleaning and such when I'm at home. I haven't felt motivated or inspired to go and take pictures. My birthday sucked a lot of energy out of me. I really need to get back on it, but I need some inspiration.

I haven't even taken pictures of more clothes to sell, which brings me money, so if I can't get motivated to even do that, then what am I?

I even missed out on my free birthday coffee as I couldn't get out of bed early enough before work.

I really need to make some short term goals and stick to them!

After LA, yes?

Until next time.

Good Morning. There are new items in my eBay, and the haul isn't even half way over.

Unfortunately, I can only sell 10 items at a time, so my listing limits do not impress me.

Check it out!

My mum put some decorations on my wall. Don't let her good intentions fool you. The actual day of my birthday was bittersweet.

Here's to more birthdays to come.

23 years young

This weekend was my birthday celebrations as today is my birthday, and I work 8-5, as always.

Friday, Torrance came over. I finished getting ready and we met our friend Veronica and Brie for dinner at Los Lupes. We ate and laughed and then headed to Wal Mart for some errands. Brie and I stayed in the car talking while Tori and Veronica went inside.

Tori and I rented a shit movie and fell asleep kind of early.

Saturday we slept in a bit, and got up and got dressed. She drove me somewhere I didn't know where we were going. Turns out, we were getting a record player for my birthday! She's wonderful. We picked it up and went thrifting. I found a vinyl of The Velveteen Rabbit narrated by Meryl Streep! We didn't find anything else but I really wanted a new table for my record player.

We ate Greek food, and went home and laid around a bit and napped until we had to wake up and start getting ready. Tori had some more surprises up her sleeve. I finally wore my leather dress with my leopard print shoes. We went to Cosmic Cafe and she had my friends meet us there for dinner. It was awesome!

Lindsey got me Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights and a Future Islands EP for my new player!

We ate and had some wine and cake and then headed to Sue Ellen's. We had a lot of drinks and ended up at my friend, Lousha's penthouse. It is kind of a blur, but it was great fun.

Yesterday was spent nursing a hangover.

Until tomorrow xx.

Insta-update of sorts.

One of my favorite shelves in my room.

Relaxing bath after work.

I found some Boy Scout shorts at Goodwill. I felt like Sam Shakusky.

In the midst of cleaning my room.

My sweet little guy.

The best $4.99 ever spent at Goodwill.

My cute little nephews.

My cute girlfriend and my cute nephew.

Once again, I didn't take pictures for shit this weekend. Friday, Tori came over around 8 and we finished getting ready. We went to Olive Garden, ate a lot of salad and drank too much peach tea. We headed back to my house so I could change out of a skirt into leggings. I look like I came out of the 80's in my precious leopard print shoes, that probably belonged to a woman name Cinnamon before me. We met up with some friends at Sue's and drank and danced and met two friends that followed us to S4.

I don't know what is up with us lately, we have been so social and actually going out. I'm not about to lug my SLR out to the club, and my phone doesn't take pictures for shit. It takes about 5 mins to snap a photo, if it doesn't freeze.

We got to my house around 4 AM and my brother and his girlfriend were out, from in town, as his girlfriend has never been to Dallas. My mom was sleeping with the baby. Tori, our friend Julie and I all squeezed in my bed. I had been up for almost 24 hours and drifted in and out of sleep as they ever so silly commentated the Olympics.

Julie woke up at 9:30 the next morning, so we did too. We laid around and Tori took a shower. I woke up my nephew so we could play with him, and he just laughed all morning. He is the best baby, ever. I miss him already. My brother and his girlfriend woke up long enough to say hi before we had to drop Julie off and go to my hair appointment.

Julie was way out of the way, and we got sandwiches and rosemary french fries and drank lemonade. We got to my hair appointment right one time and I bought some Biotin vitamins to make my hair grow! We then went to Tori's mom's, watched a movie and fell asleep. When we woke up we visited with her mom and stepdad, ordered stuffed crust pizza, and then we watched Breaking Bad and slept some more.

That shit is getting INTENSE.

We woke up really late the next day as we took night time medicine. We laid around and watched Breaking Bad all day. Then slept some more.

We're so exciting. She took me home early this morning.

I registered for classed on Thursday, and I'm super excited despite the fact I'm a broke ass bitch. I also finished the first Hunger Games book, so I guess I was productive.

I'll try to get some pictures in this week.
