golden hour.

We made another spur of the moment adventure yesterday. A bit repetitive as the last time I took Tori's pictures were also at a cemetery.

Our roommate read all about this one, this is the one we tried to go to originally, and apparently it's haunted. It actually felt really pleasant and joyful compared what it should have felt like, and the reason it's there in the first place. It was nice, and it was golden hour.

I need to go out and take more pictures. So. So so soon. Good news is around the corner, I hope.

More birthday celebrations this week.

These are the only instagram pictures I have taken all week. On Tuesday, I cut out these giant letters and Tori and I strung them with thread. We got thres leches cakes and piled them up and surprised her when she came home. Then I was an old lady and went to bed. Busy, busy weekend ahead of us. We are celebrating Mariah's birthday for real this time, instead of just giving her copious amounts of cake.

Then on Saturday is Tori's step-sister's wedding and we have been scrambling around picking out the perfect dresses and how we should do our hair, etc, etc. It should be fun.

l o f t m u s i c

maybe.
Our backyard is growing plants like crazy. We discovered a pear tree on Saturday morning.

I'm always commuting.
I was early to one of my stops, so I walked to my train. This is one of my favorite little spots in downtown. It's this huge peach building, and these tall green trees are line up perfectly in front of it.

I accidentally missed my stop because I was playing Candy Crush, sorry. The next stop was so lush, though.

A little picture I took of my grandma's refrigerator. I love this kitchen. I grew up here. The wallpaper. My grandma hung that herself in the 70's. The only pictures on her fridge are of me. (besides her little pup, RIP)

I just can't stop listening to The Weeknd. I want to do some covers of a few songs.

This weekend was strange. It was relaxed, but I didn't get much sleep and there was a lot on my mind and a lot that was discussed. I'm still in this strange limbo, and I didn't get anything creative done this weekend.

Well, that's not entirely true. I did bake for two hours on Saturday. My roommates birthday is on Tuesday, so we decided to do some early celebrating.

Stolen from my roommates' instagram.
This was the biggest cake I ever made. It was five layers and I colored them to a pink ombre. So, it was kind of successful. She loved it, and it's mighty tasty.

I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning and watching Grey's Anatomy. Like, I really have a problem.

Until next time.

dead man's bones.

Look at me sticking to my word. Or something.

I actually went out and took pictures yesterday. I had Tori bring me my camera and we headed to this cemetary that I love. It's right across the street from our old house that we moved out of in January.

These pictures are actually for my new project, Hollow Closet.

Here, is where I do my own thang. Keepin' it quite personal. Mainly a diary of sorts.

It felt good to take these pictures.

inspiration.

Photos above taken with a Canon EOS 350D/Digital Rebel XT and disposables.

I decided to give myself a little inspiration. Of myself, to myself. I used to take pictures all of the time. My camera dangling around my neck or in my bag everywhere I go.

All of these pictures were not planned. That's the way I like it.

A lot of them are self portrait therapy. Days when I feel inspired by nothing at all, by the simplest ideas, by a surplus of emotions and passion that I have to let out. Whether those feelings be negative or positive. An outlet.

My girlfriend is another one of my muses. A lot of these pictures are from California, or adventures that we went on. I don't ever want this to stop. This energy within me that is always wanting more and absorbing everything around me and taking it in, making it my own, learning from it and growing from it, whatever it may be.

The electricity, that everything that I see is wonderful and inspires me.

So many crazy things lately that are filling my head, what more of a better reason than to start lugging my camera around more.

I got a Yashica 44 from my grandma when I went to her house recently. My grandma is the closest woman in the world to me. Little did I know she has this beauty stowed away in her closet collecting dust, in mint condition. I have been wanting a TLR for so long and was going to splurge one day and get one. She also gave me a few other goodies. I need to get film for this girl and take her out for a spin. Soon. I am overflowing with photo project ideas that I need to fucking execute.

This is what my new camera looks like.

and here are all of the goodies I got. Via instagram.

You'll be seeing new shit from me soon.

An update and a promise.

It's been so long since I have made an actual post.

A lot has been going on in my life, and in my head. So much, actually. I will get back on regular photos as soon as possible as well as weekly instagram updates. I now have the iphone 4 and all of the kitschy apps.

I am starting a new project with my girlfriend here soon called Hollow Closet, which you should follow for fabulous updates. I have been sewing a lot, and starting other personal projects as well as watching too much Grey's Anatomy.

I can't stop listening to The Weeknd, Beacon, and one song by Neptune called Lemonade.

Here has been life for the last few months.

I will see you soon. I promise!
