Thursday banter.

This post is completely irrelevant to anything, however, I thought I would update. Though, I have no readers really as of yet.

Torrance is still borrowing my camera, but I hope that we finish her project this weekend so I can use my new remote! Also, I want to start updating this more with pictures.

Today I came across some pictures from SXSW of Torrance and I. I played with them a bit. You can also see them on my tumblr.

This effect is super trippy, but I liked it.

Here is the real one.

Anywho. I'm pretty ecstatic about this weekend. Our plans are as follows:

  • Friday - Her friend is having a Softball benefit for her sister and the charity that supports her disease that took her life. I will not be partaking as I do not have a sports bone in my body. I will be watching my woman show off her sexy skills on the field as I sit nearby and have a beer.
  • Saturday - There is some sort of sculpture show at a dog park. Being dog ass bitches, we will be attending that, I believe. Plus, we love any excuse to take the boys to the park! That night her friend invited us to the Say Anything and Kevin Devine show. I am not much of a Say Anything fan and haven't heard much, but I do enjoy Kevin Devine. Also it is an excuse to have a few drinks and mingle. Besides, our friend Hillary is joining and I haven't seen her in ages, and I used to live with her!

Did I mention that we have met Kevin Devine in all his glory? He was so sweet!

Also, An Horse. OH HEY. [sorry, I'm so awkward.]

  •  Sunday - We are planning on attending Scarborough Fair! Finally. I bought these tickets last week and we didn't go this weekend as we were tight on money. So I'm excited. Ridin' Elephants and shit. I say "planning on attending" as Tori is swamped with coursework. BUT, that is the plan!
Awesome pictures to come out of this weekend, I hope. I also have a disposable I need to finish up so that I can get it developed. I don't even remember what the few pictures are that are on it. I also have a few snaps left on my Instax.

Any awesome plans this weekend?

I am feeling quite a shade of Blue today.

So I thought I would share with you a quote that I read today, and upon the multitudes of quotes that appear on my Tumblr dashboard daily, this one stuck with me.

The quickest way to change your attitude toward pain is to accept the fact that everything that happens to us has been designed for our spiritual growth.

Case of da Mondaiz.

Good Morning.

This new Blogger...I don't quite know how I feel about it.

I thought I would share some of my instagrams from the week and weekend of last. Nothing too excited. I spent the weekend in for the most part due to lack of finances.

I'm just a traveling nomad with my million bags.

My neon yellow toenailz.

My sweet boy <3.

Epic stop motion making.

I made some delicious black bean, feta, and sauteed zucchini and squash tacos.

I received a letter from my wonderful friend in Indy. MADE MY DAY.

This isn't an instagram either, but I love my boys. That is Tori's wolfman on the left.

And zat is my weekend. Pretty laid back, and it was nice. Next weekend we will be getting medieval all over everyone's asses. Also, now that Tori won't need my camera for her project anymore, I will be taking some outfit pictures, I do believe.

K bye!

News years resolutions, mid year?

I'm not usually one for making New Year's Resolutions, BUT I've decided to go ahead and do so.
Even though the year is almost half way through.

  • Start waking up more than one hour before I have to be at work.
I need to start allowing myself for time. Half the time that I come into work, I look like street trash. I have don messy top knots, and my outfits are strewn together last minute. I don't get to take the boys on a decent walk and I'm rushing and sometimes a minute or two behind. This is the most important change I need to make.
  • I need to focus on my work more.
These two go hand in hand basically as being more awake in the morning will help with this. I get my work done, but I want to go above and beyond and accomplish more in the day, especially with all of my new duties.
  • Go to the gym.
I got this fucking membership that I pay for each month, and I was doing quite well for a bit there and lost a little over a pound in one week. I haven't been in (I am ashamed to say) probably a month or more. Thus, I will eat healthier. I mean I gotta look good in this bathing suit!

  • Start eating healthier and taking vitamins.
I don't eat terribly, and I don't eat meat. However, this causes for more cheese substitutes, and candy isn't a meat, right? I want to start eating more healthy components and incorporating vitamins into my diet. Perhaps I will be vegan one day when I can figure out how to make vegan cheese!
  • Save!
This has already begun, and I want to keep it up. I need to start putting back more of my funds now that things have calmed down for me financially. Not only do I need a savings, but I need to pay things off and I would like to have a vacation soon.
That is all I can think of right now.

Let's call this to be continued...

We are not the same, I am a martian.

Throughout my life I have faced many changes. I'm not saying I have a terrible life, whatsoever, but I have had to start my life over a few times for my age. I have been though a lot of things, and I have faced many misfortunes and I would never take back any of them. I do not dwell on things, or blame these things for who I am. I thank them, for I wouldn't be who I am today without dealing with shit that comes my way or having to adjust in some terrible situations. I love change. I embrace change, good or bad. Life is constant, constant change. The optimism I used to have is returning to my body, and it feels like I'm coming home after a long vacation. These last few years have been rough, but I have learned so much about myself, and I feel like I have gained a lot of strength and definitely see now that my life is going in a grand direction.

Currently, I am living with my mom. It was a temporary thing after living on my own since I was 17. I needed to pay some things off with the law and I opted to sleep on a couch for a while. Well, things didn't quite go the way I planned, but sometimes you have to take a step backward to take a step or two forward. It's a year later and I have decided to stay with my mom and upgrade to a larger apartment. I will finally have all of my own things, and space, as I left all of my belongings at my old house. They're just material things after all. This will be my time to start collecting the tangible necessities of life, and have my name on a lease after quite some time.

I used to be a bitch that dressed in all black all of the time, so lately I have been trying to incorporate more color into my life. I've decided to go with a lot of white detail for my room.

I've decided on this white bed frame from Ikea. I want to top it with a tacky floral sheet of some sort and a fluffy all white down comforter. OH YES.

To finish it off, I've decided on the following accents.

  • A white sheepskin rug. (Fake, obv.)
  • A mirror with a cute seat and perhaps small table underneath as a vanity.
  • Mesh net for a dreamy atmosphere including all of the dreamy lighting and hopefully a moon light.
I'm too lazy to search for all of the pictures, but needless to say, Bubba and I will have a sweet, sweet haven. Not to mention that Tori will begin to be staying with me a lot more as she is moving out of her place and far, far away from me. However, this summer she is going to try and attend summer courses at my college! It will save on costs, she can stay on me, and we are attempting to get into the same Sculpture class as her professor is full time at my school.

I'm super stoked about that as I have absolutely no creative outlet for the time being except for helping Tori with her projects, and photographing when I have some time.

Anyway, enough rambling.

I haven't had time, or really I haven't put as much effort into this as I should be.
I also left my tripod at my girlfriend's house.
I want to start doing outfit posts, like everyone else in the world and doing more photographing of my day to day life. However, my life isn't terribly exciting as of right now.

Good thing this blog isn't live quite yet as I have just purchased two tickets for Torrance and I for Scarborough Fair sometime in the coming up weekends. We are nerds, and I fucking like it. It's a surprise for her, and she is going to be so excited.

On Friday we went and saw Titanic in 3D. It was so weird and pretty exciting at first. Two hours later the 3D effect seemed to wear off. My favorite part in 3D is when the life boats go back to find survivors and stir around the dead bodies with their oars. You know, before Rose blows her rape whistle.

  • I am 22, and I work 40 hours a week.
  • I attend community college and I hope to transfer to a university after my associates and perhaps get an internship at a local newspaper or magazine. I am majoring in journalism and possibly minoring in philosophy.
  • I have a girlfriend of a year and a half, currently. Her name is Torrance and she is a beautiful art student bitch.
  • My favorite bands consist of Beach House, Warpaint, Cat Power, Interpol, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, and so many more. But really, it's hard to classify favorite bands. Also, I have favorite songs that I only know the one song, yaknowwhati'msaying. Like These Days by Nico, or Don't Look Back by Telepopmusik.
  • My favorite movies consist of Darjeeling Limited, American Beauty, Waking Life, Saved!, Pulp Fiction, and my brain doesn't feel like naming anything else off OKAY.
  • I have a dog that I raised from six weeks and I am quite obsessed with him. He is my child.
  • I dress like a freak, I like fashion, but I in no way shape or form wear name brands or dress extremely cool. Right now I'm wearing a bright yellow nylon tank that looks like it belonged to a man who did too much steroids, a black bodycon skirt, footless tights, spartacus sandals with a broke toe thong, a top knot, and neon green toenails. I hope you still care to read on.
  • I don't know what else to cover. This blog is me with no inhibitions.
  • I have a tumblr where I reblog naked women, a lot of creepy shit, fashion, and things I find funny.

(I was going to do one of those "my week in instagram photos" and then decided I will just post some random pictures to give you a little taste of who I iz)
